EMPOWERING
BLIPAC is a Long Island–based Political Action Committee whose singular purpose is to increase the electoral strength of the Black, Latino, and immigrant suburban voter by advocating for policies that make it easier to vote within Long Island suburbs.
What we understand

In democracy, voting determines influence. And those communities that vote consistently command influence over candidates and legislators.

Black, Latino, and immigrant suburban communities have the numbers to shape election outcomes across Long Island. But Li's voting process disproportionately reduces their voter turnout.

BLIPAC works to change that by making voting easier and better enabling BLI communities to participate in elections - which results in an increase to their representative influence.
Our Issues
Universal Mail Ballots
BLIPAC supports every registered voter automatically receiving a ballot by mail for every election. Many eligible voters do not participate because voting requires navigating schedules, transportation, or long lines. Automatically providing ballots to every household reduces physical barriers to voting.
Election season not day
BLIPAC supports replacing the single Election Day with an extended Election Season. Ballots would be distributed 60 days before the election and voters would have an extended window to return them, with Election Day serving as the final deadline. Modern work schedules, make single-day voting unnecessarily restrictive. A longer voting period allows people to vote when it is most feasible for them.
NYS Election APP
BLIPAC supports the creation of a modern day election app created by the NYS Board of Elections. This app would give real time updates on candidates, schedules, and registration status. Many voters miss elections simply because they are unaware of elections, filing periods, or do not know who is running. A modern election app would make this information more accessible.
